By Samia Smadi A Patent Registered for Dr. Anas al-Rabadi In March 2009, Dr. Anas Al-Rabadi, Associate Professor of Computer Engineering, was able to register a patent with the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) for his invention entitled “Carbon Nanotube (CNT) Multiplexers, Circuits, and Actuators”. The invention is concerned with using computational applications in Nanometric technology and is intended to be used for medical treatment and diagnosis where manufactured pieces and parts can be implanted in the human body. According to Dr. Al-Rabadi, the manufacturing of the nanometric devices takes place in laboratories and factories where modern necessary microscopes such as SEM, AFM, and TEM are available.
